Readability user tests (RUT)
First Read This has earned a 'favourable opinion' (Ref 07/Q1608/34) from an NHS ethics committee. This means that we can give both you and your participants the comfort of knowing that our RUT procedures have been independently appraised. Furthermore, our NHS ethics approval means that we can recruit participants from NHS sites.
1. The interview takes place with an experienced interviewer.
2. We record the interview and capture the results.
3. The results are sent to you in any format you require (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PDF, CSV).
4. Your report is ready.
First Read This can write and submit your readability assessment report, or simply provide you the test data.
Patient Information Leaflets (PIL) and label editing/writing
Send your PILs to us and we will thoroughly edit them in plain text or in your company style. If you prefer, we will guide you through your PIL revisions. Because we know what makes the patient readers happy we can save you the time and cost of repeated testing. Alternatively, we can write your PIL from an SPC.
Clinical research manuals/help-guides
Clear communication benefits everyone, especially those involved in clinical research. Getting the most up to date information where it is needed allows medium to large scale research projects to run smoothly. This applies to information for medical professionals as well as trial participants.
Clinical research manuals will look as good on-screen as they do on paper, using single-source publishing. It gives you the flexibility to update or change information when necessary, and incorporate live database results into your published content. When everything is finalised, your online content is automatically reformatted to produce the necessary paper-documentation for your records and submissions.
Even if you have an online clinical trial system in place or on order, we strongly recommend checking your documentation for readability. Contact us to see how we can help.
English for the International Pharmaceutical Industry
We have partnered with the Seminar for Advanced English Studies and St Hilda's College, to provide a three day intensive English course in 2008 that meets the demands of communicating in the International pharmaceutical industry.
Delegates are expected to already have a basic knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary. The seminar uses tried and tested intensive training methods to improve your English and boost your confidence speaking it. The Seminar includes guest speakers and practice workshops, currently:
